The Pacte cycle of inter-team seminars returns for a 4th season entitled "SHS in the fury of the world"!

Renewed commitment to SHS can take the form of questioning the very limits of the disciplines they include. For this first session, we invite Bernard Lahire to present his book Les structures fondamentales des sociétés humaines (2023, Paris, La Découverte) and discuss the paradigm he proposes. If human societies are structured by general laws, how can we integrate disciplines as diverse as ethology, sociology, history and evolutionary biology?
