Approval

How to obtain approval?

Associations under the 1901 law that meet the following conditions
are eligible for approval by Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA:

  • At least two-thirds of the board members must be Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA students.
  • The president or at least one co-president/vice-president of the association must be a student at Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA.
  • The association must be denominationally neutral.
  • the association must have no affiliation with a foreign party, political group, trade union or political movement.
  • The purpose of the association must be resolutely focused on the student body of Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA and the wider Université Grenoble Alpes establishment.
  • Members of the association's executive committee must have attended the training courses organized by Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA - or, failing that, a substitute Education course by mutual agreement - in accordance with the rules laid down by the association's representative at the start of the academic year.
  • To be eligible, an association must be in its third year of existence, and have been administered annually by two different boards.
  • Two associations with identical objects and activities cannot be approved. 

Procedure

The association submits an application for approval to the Vie associative project manager.

This file must include :

  • a letter of intent including the association's objectives, planned activities and a presentation of the association and its board,
  • the association's articles of association signed by the president,
  • the receipt from the prefecture mentioning the new office
  • the minutes of the AGM signed by the Board,
  • the association's president signs the charter for associative life, the charter for student festive events and the charter for Equality, against discrimination, harassment and sexist and sexual violence.

  • the list of office staff who have attended mandatory training courses:
  • the provisional annual budget

Associations may apply to be domiciled at Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA. This request must be included in the application for accreditation. Within one month of approval, a certificate of insurance covering damage to property and persons must be submitted to the Vie associative officer.

Application dates:
Dates are set by the CEVIE and can be consulted on the Vie associative page of the Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA website. The CEVIE's Associative Life Commission may decide to call a meeting of the association's board members for a more detailed discussion.

UGA's Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Etudiantes (Solidarity and Development Fund for Student Initiatives)

The FSDIE is a fund designed to finance projects run by student associations. It is financed by part of the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC). FSDIE UGA grant applications are analyzed by a commission and submitted to the Education and University Life Commission (CFVU) for approval.
 

To qualify for funding, your project must fall within one of the following areas:
 

  • Culture (artistic and scientific)
  • Solidarity, civic commitment
  • Environment, sustainable development
  • Sport, health and disability
  • And any initiative contributing to the liveliness and dynamism of campuses and student life.

CROUS Culture and Campus Life Commission
 

The Commission Culture et vie de campus (Culture and Campus Life Commission) is a funding mechanism for initiatives aimed at improving student living conditions, by providing financial support for projects in this area.
 

Funds are allocated according to the following 6 themes:
 

  • Prevention for health and well-being
  • Promoting social support
  • Developing sports activities
  • Bringing citizenship to life
  • Bringing art and culture to life
  • Improving student reception

Université Grenoble Alpes can support you and help you bring them to fruition, notably by contributing to their financing through the Fonds de solidarité et de développement des initiatives étudiantes (FSDIE).

Student representation on governing bodies

The CEVIE sets guidelines for initial and continuing Education programs, accreditation applications, new programs and program evaluation. It is consulted on all issues relating to student life. It is the guarantor of students' political and trade union freedoms.
