International policy is at the heart of Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA's pedagogical and scientific project.

This internationalization begins with our students. In the second year, all our Bachelor's students take part in a general academic mobility program with one of our partner universities, while some of our Master's students take part in specialization programs or internships abroad. Conversely, each year Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA welcomes equivalent numbers of international students in its Bachelor and Master programs. This is why, throughout the academic year, some fifty nationalities live together at Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA.

This internationalization also concerns our teaching and research staff. They carry out numerous international assignments by invitation or as part of specific programs. Conversely, every year Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA welcomes around thirty professors and researchers by invitation, as part of a call for proposals for teaching mobility or through other special programs. This is why, throughout the academic year, there are always one or more Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA professors on assignment abroad, as well as one or more visiting professors at Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA.

Why study in Grenoble?

Capital of the French Alps, Grenoble is ranked France's best student city by national magazines L'Étudiant and L'Express, and is, after Paris, the preferred destination for students choosing to study abroad. Grenoble is also the leading centre for public research after Paris, with an established international reputation in several fields, including political science and the social sciences.

In addition to its wide range of academic offerings, Grenoble University boasts a beautifully landscaped 450-hectare campus on the banks of the Isère River. Just ten minutes by public transport or bicycle from the lively city center, the campus offers a wealth of facilities, including five libraries, an Olympic-size swimming pool, playing fields, tennis courts and more.

From the campus, you can also enjoy breathtaking views of the three mountain ranges that rise to 3,000 meters: the Vercors, the Chartreuse and the snow-capped peaks of Belledonne, with the famous Chamrousse ski resort at its peak, just thirty minutes from Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA. Grenoble is therefore ideally situated to take advantage of the region's great natural beauty and its many sporting and outdoor activities.

Grenoble is also a perfect location if you want to travel. Two hours by train from Geneva, three from Turin, three from the Mediterranean coast... and of course only three hours from Paris by TGV, Grenoble is close to three international airports offering direct connections to London, Berlin, Rome, Madrid and more.

Grenoble's cultural scene is particularly dynamic, with modern dance and theater companies, the Maison de la Culture, and numerous popular festivals and celebrations, including the Grenoble Jazz Festival, the European Theater Festival, the International Short Film Festival, and Les 38e Rugissants, a unique festival of new and nomadic music. The Musée d'art de Grenoble and many other museums and galleries also offer a wide range of artistic experiences.

Grenoble is a city that combines urban and outdoor activities. As you stroll through the streets and squares, the many markets will awaken your senses, and you can also enjoy the many attractive boutiques, museums and cinemas, or sunbathe on the terrace of a café or in a park with a superb view of the mountains. Perhaps you'd prefer to go hiking, cycling or skiing. Whatever your preference, you'll always find something interesting to do or discover.
