Universit+®_Science_Po_22.jpg

Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA's research policy is based on four major objectives: to provide human, financial and material support for the Faculty's research activities; to support the development of high-level research that is firmly rooted in international scientific networks; to disseminate and strengthen the research culture among teachers and students alike; and finally, to promote interdisciplinarity in the service of a science that is open to society.

The research policy of Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA is led by the institution's Vice President for Research, in close collaboration with the Vice Presidents for Research of the other components of the Université Grenoble Alpes, as well as with the following laboratories research laboratories of which Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA is the associate supervisor or in which its teacher-researchers are active. Questions relating to the School's research policy are discussed within the Scientific Commission which plays an advisory, programming and evaluation role.

The Research Vice-Presidency of Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA coordinates the activities of the Research and Teaching Chairs as well as the hosting of Visiting Professors visiting professors. It has a budget to support research activities for teachers and advanced students. It coordinates research Education for Master's students within the framework of the Label Recherche and oversees the school's "open science" policy. Finally, once a month it organizes the Rendez-vous de la Recherche which enable members of the Faculty to present their work in public.

In a world marked by rapid change - be it political, economic, social, environmental or technological - social science research plays an essential role in understanding the complexity of reality. It sheds light on the dynamics at work in our societies, puts public decisions into perspective, and provides the analytical tools we need to anticipate future developments. By producing rigorous knowledge, applying it to their teaching and engaging in dialogue with the society around them, the members of the Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA Faculty contribute to enhancing the quality of public debate and building informed collective responses to major contemporary challenges.
