Sciences Po Grenoble-UGA welcomes Martin Cloutier from December 9 to 13, 2024

Martin CLOUTIER, Ph.D., is a full professor at the École des Sciences de Gestion (ESG) of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where he has taught methodology and research methods at all three undergraduate levels for over twenty years, and holds a joint doctorate in strategic management and applied economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Martin CLOUTIER has published over forty articles in international peer-reviewed journals and as many book chapters, in addition to having coordinated seven collective works. He is a recognized researcher in the use of mixed research methods (systems dynamics, group concept mapping (GCD)), and the exemplary and innovative qualities of his work with the GCD methodological framework has been given pride of place in the book Conversation about Group Concept Mapping: Applications, Examples, and Enhancements (Kane and Rosas, 2018, SAGE). Professor Cloutier has carried out over thirty CGM projects in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the Caribbean, with organizations working in a variety of contexts, both face-to-face and distance learning.

 

He is interested in information and communication technologies (ICT) for group collaboration and decision-making, mixed research methods and design science. His research interests include: entrepreneurial coaching, entrepreneurship training, the digital transformation of organizations and professions (SMEs, large companies, administration, value chains), the dimensions of the food transition, sustainable ICTs, and measuring the performance of organizations in different sectors (technology, agri-food, etc.).
