Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA offers an ambitious five-year program designed to train tomorrow's decision-makers. With all the advantages of a "grande école", our institute, as a component institution with legal personality, participates in the development of the Université Grenoble Alpes. It stands out for the multi-disciplinary nature of its Education (political science, law, economics, management, history, sociology and languages), its international focus and the strength of its social science research.
Housed in a completely renovated building, in the heart of a university estate considered one of the most beautiful in Europe, Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA is committed to adapting its Education offering to the challenges of an ever-changing world: the emphasis is on internationalization, professionalization, digital development and innovation through the creation of Chairs and a Policy Lab.
Sciences Po Grenoble and UGA
Since January 1, 2020, Sciences Po Grenoble has been a fully-fledged component of the Université Grenoble Alpes, along with the Institut national polytechnique de Grenoble (Grenoble INP) and the Ecole nationale d'architecture de Grenoble (ENSAG). For this reason, the school has since taken the name Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA, and is committed to an active policy of coordination and pooling of resources with all the components of the UGA.
Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA is located on the main campus of Université Grenoble Alpes in Saint-Martin-d'Hères. This campus - ranked the 8th most beautiful in Europe by Times Higher Education - is 15 minutes by bike or streetcar from the center of Grenoble. The 175-hectare campus boasts all the academic, sporting and cultural facilities our students need.
Université Grenoble Alpes, which since 2016 has benefited from increased support from the French government following its "Initiative d'excellence" accreditation by an international jury, brings together 60,000 students (including 9,000 international students and 3,000 PhD students) and 10,500 staff, including more than 6,000 teachers, lecturers and researchers. It is regularly ranked among the top 150 universities worldwide, and among the top 5 in France.
