As part of its policy of supporting the development of scientific projects, Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA is setting up a Seed Money Fund to support the first stages of emerging research initiatives in its teaching and research faculty. Grants of up to €2,000 are available.

Objectives

Projects financed by this fund must explicitly address one of the following four objectives: 
 

1. Preparation by the promoter of a response to a larger call for research projects (national or international)

 

2. Theorganization of a scientific event aimed at strengthening the integration of Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA in a national or international research network (symposium, workshop, study day, etc.). 

 

3. Data collection (field missions, purchase of data, etc.) to initiate or consolidate original research.

 

4. Research stays abroad to establish or consolidate international academic cooperation.


Eligibility

For objectives 1 and 2, the fund is open to all teacher-researchers and researchers in the teaching and research faculty of Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA.

 

Objectives 3 and 4 are open only to doctoral students supervised by a member of the same faculty.

Seed Fund calls for projects are launched twice a year, in January and July. Applicants are invited to respond using the form below, and to return their answers by the deadline by e-mail to

Requests must be received by January 15 and replies by March 15.

Applications must be returned by July 15 and replies by September 15.

The Scientific Commission

Responses are evaluated by the Scientific Committee, whose opinion takes into account the suitability of applications for the objectives of the fund (which is a prerequisite), as well as the clarity and scientific quality of the proposed project and its expected structuring effect for Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA.


The final funding decision is made by the Research Vice-Presidency on the basis of advice from the Scientific Commission.
