Presentation
The "European Governance" distance learning diploma specialization is directly inspired by the classroom system.
The European Governance program is part of the School of European Governance. Students become specialists in the European Union, its workings and activities, and develop knowledge and skills useful in any organization with a European dimension, at local, national, European or international level.
Distance Education enables students in initial Education in another discipline or specialty to obtain a double degree. It also enables employees to take lifelong learning courses as part of their continuing Education .
The IEP diploma is awarded in two years (A4 & A5).
Education
The first year (A4) covers the theoretical fundamentals of integration, while the second year (A5) deals with much more practical aspects of Education.
In the 5th year, students can choose between a career path and a research path. The research track enables students to write a dissertation and/or to consider moving on to a doctoral thesis. Access to this pathway is selective.
The "European Governance" distance learning course is a multi-disciplinary Education program covering law, economics, political science, sociology and history.
During the Education, students are evaluated through:
Continuous assessments ( assignments to be handed in during the semesters).
End-of-semester exams are scheduled for late January/early February, then late May/early June. In the event of resits, an additional session is scheduled for late August. These exams take place at Sciences Po Grenoble – UGA. Attendance at exams is mandatory.
Students receive dedicated administrative and pedagogical support.
Each year of Education A4 and A5 consists of 60 credits. The years are spread over two semesters in the academic year.
