The agricultural crisis: how to deconstruct clichés about agriculture while ensuring its transition?

L'Agriculture Française et Européenne Face à la Crise - Present and Future

With Stéphane Le Foll, Mayor of Le Mans and President of Le Mans Métropole and Minister of Agriculture from 2012 to 2017

French agriculture is going through a period of profound change, marked by economic, environmental and societal difficulties. The transfer of farms is becoming increasingly complex, agricultural activity is declining as a proportion of the national economy, and international trade agreements such as Mercosur are giving rise to passionate and divisive debates. At the same time, the transition to more sustainable agriculture, with reduced pesticide use, is a crucial issue for the future.
