Petia Gueorguieva is a lecturer in the Department of Political Science at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. She holds a PhD in political science from the Université libre de Bruxelles and specializes in Central and Eastern European politics - political regimes, elections, parties, Europeanization and democratization, political regimes, elections, parties, Europeanization and democratization.
She has contributed as author and co-author to over 60 articles and collective works, published in French, English and Spanish.
She is currently involved in the COST Action "Regaining linkage? Digital technologies improving civic engagement, political organisations and democracy", and coordinates the international project "Touring European Summer School - France Germany, Bulgaria, North Macedonia" for Bulgaria, supported by the Franco-German Office for Youth (OFAJ/FAJ).
