Camille CHAUSSINAND, Associate Professor and holder of the “Crisis Management” Chair

Camille Chaussinand has built her expertise in communications and crisis management at the intersection of three complementary areas of experience: political consulting at the national level, support for local governments, and higher education.

Camille began his career in Parliament, where he advised on communications for an elected official who has since become a minister—an experience that gave him a deep and lasting understanding of public speaking, media timing, and political crisis management.

He continued his career as a consulting director at an agency specializing in local elected officials, where he assists local government executives with their communication strategies and initiatives during their terms in office.

Currently an associate professor, Camille Chaussinand heads the Chair in Crisis Management and Communication—sponsored by François Hollande in 2023—which he developed by launching two events that have become annual traditions: “Crisis Night,” a crisis simulation exercise designed for and conducted by students; And “Crisis Week,” a series of conferences that examine crisis management at all levels and brings together experts, elected officials, ministers, and influencers each year...

At the same time, he continues to serve as a consultant to national elected officials and public policymakers, leading regional projects throughout France and designing governance agreements aimed at fostering a culture of compromise among local elected officials. His conviction is that, in the face of a permanent crisis—particularly an environmental one—local governments must learn to embrace a certain degree of self-restraint and prioritize their public policies in order to remain effective and legitimate while becoming more robust and resilient.
