After earning a bachelor’s degree in Applied Humanities (SHA) from the University of Grenoble Alpes, Louna Dupont enrolled in the “Local Government Management” program at Sciences Po Grenoble – UGA at the start of the 2024 academic year.

Thanks to the UGA’s SHN programs, she is able to spread out her coursework over four years to complete her master’s degree, allowing her to best pursue her dual goals. This sports-and-academics track requires a great deal of discipline, but it provides a formative and pivotal structure for building her academic and professional career.

On the athletic front, Louna Dupont has now been competing in ski mountaineering for four years. A member of the French national team for the past three seasons, she competes on the World Cup circuit, where she has achieved several top-15 finishes in her specialty, the sprint—an Olympic event.
The year 2026 marks the start of a new Olympic cycle, during which every training session is part of her preparation for her goal of qualifying for the 2030 Olympic Games in the French Alps.

When the new school year begins, Louna Dupont will start her fifth year in the Local Government Management program. She will devote these last two academic years to pursuing her dual goals, which include preparing to take the local government civil service exam in November 2028.

Ultimately, Louna Dupont hopes to contribute to the development of mid-mountain regions undergoing transition by drawing on the skills she acquired during her academic and athletic career.
