Judith PONNOU-DELAFFON, student and elite middle-distance runner

A student at Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA since September 2025 and a top-level middle-distance runner, for Judith, pursuing both of these paths is a natural fit.

A multiple finalist in the French championships, she has never wanted to sacrifice her studies for sports, nor sports for her studies. Despite a busy schedule and additional demands, she is committed to showing that it is possible to pursue demanding higher education while continuing to train intensively in her sport, even at the national level. This requires a great deal of discipline, organization, and support.

At first glance, these two activities seem very different, yet they are highly complementary. Track and field, in particular, helps her manage her stress and approach the important milestones of her academic journey with confidence.
Ultimately, this balance suits her well and will open the door to numerous athletic opportunities—both in college and professionally—in the future.
