Elisa Tripotin graduated in 2021 from the Politics and Practices of International Organizations (PPOI) program, where she also completed the research track. At the time, she was working on the engagement of Indigenous peoples in UN bodies, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following this, Elisa Tripotin began a Ph.D. program in Sociology at the Université du Québec à Montréal to work on a dissertation about Indigenous activism in Montreal under the supervision of Leila Inksetter. She quickly established a joint thesis supervision arrangement with the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA) within the ILCEA 4 laboratory (Institute of Languages and Cultures of Europe, America, Africa, Asia, and Australia) under the supervision of Susanne Berthier-Foglar in order to engage with Indigenous studies in France.
Currently in the final stages of writing, her dissertation analyzes the resurgence of activist engagement and forms of decolonial solidarity in an urban Indigenous context. Her work is also part of a methodological reflection aimed at questioning the researcher’s position and giving central prominence to the voices and experiences of the actors involved.

At the same time, Elisa Tripotin worked as a lecturer in Indigenous Sociology at UQAM for two semesters and as a research assistant. She is also an instructor at the Summer School of the Interuniversity Centre for Indigenous Studies and Research, which trains young Indigenous leaders in the workings of the United Nations system.

She will be returning to France soon and hopes to contribute to the development of decolonial studies and to giving greater visibility to Indigenous voices that are still largely overlooked, particularly in French Guiana and Kanaky.

Finally, Elisa Tripotin is a top-level track and field athlete. She has competed several times in the French Elite Championships in the 3000m steeplechase, and also finished 7th at the Canadian Cross Country Championships. While a student at Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA, she held the status of Competitive Athlete (SBN) during her first three years, before obtaining the status of elite athlete (SHN) in her fourth and fifth years.
