Sébastien MARTIN, Minister Delegate for Industry

A graduate of Sciences Po Grenoble in 1999, Sébastien MARTIN was appointed on October 12, 2025, as Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial, Energy, and Digital Sovereignty, responsible for Industry.

Sébastien MARTIN began his career as a parliamentary assistant to Jean PRORIOL, Dominique PERBEN, and Dominique JUILLOT. He then joined Dominique PERBEN's office at the Ministry of Transport as a policy officer. Between 2006 and 2012, he held several positions as chief of staff and advisor to local elected officials and members of the government. Since 2014, he has been a local elected official in Saône-et-Loire, municipal councilor for Chalon-sur-Saône, president of the Le Grand Chalon urban community, and then departmental councilor for the canton of Givry from 2015. In 2020, he became president of Intercommunalités de France, then was elected first vice-president of the Saône-et-Loire departmental council the following year. In 2025, he was elected deputy for the 5th constituency of Saône-et-Loire, before being appointed, in October of the same year, Minister Delegate for Industry to the Minister of the Economy.
