Xavier PIECHACZYK, CEO of the RATP Group
Xavier PIECHACZYK is Education engineer Education from the French National School of Public Works (ENTPE) and the French National School of Civil Engineering (Ecole nationale des ponts et chaussées), and a PhD in political science from Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA.
Xavier Piechaczyk is a senior French civil servant and public official specializing in transport, energy, and infrastructure policy. He began his career at the Ministry of Infrastructure, where he was head of the modernization mission and then deputy director of road policy and development in the roads department. He then joined the Ministry of Ecology, where he served as deputy director of national road network development (DIT) and then deputy director of transport services. He subsequently became advisor on energy, transport, housing, and the environment in the Prime Minister's Office, working with Jean-Marc Ayrault, before becoming advisor on energy, the environment, transport, and housing to the President of the Republic. He then joined RTE Réseau de Transport d'Electricité as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of networks, customers, and territories, before becoming Chairman of the Management Board.
