The 2025–2030 School Plan Adopted by the Board of Directors

After nearly a year of discussions, consultations, and collaborative efforts, the 2025–2030 institutional plan for Sciences Po Grenoble – UGA was adopted by the Board of Trustees in July 2026. This important milestone now sets the roadmap for the institution for the next four years.

Launched in the fall of 2024 with a consultation process involving more than 70 people, the initiative continued after the new leadership took office in February 2025. The project was developed by the Executive Board and then discussed and refined with staff during the 2025 back-to-school day. The adopted document now includes more than 200 commitments.

The four strategic priorities defined at the outset of the initiative have been reaffirmed: strengthening the link between teaching and research in the service of society; building a strong, inclusive community dedicated to democracy and quality of life; making Sciences Po Grenoble–UGA a pioneering and exemplary institution in the field of social and ecological transformation; and expanding its influence at the local, national, and international levels.

But above all, the Board of Trustees’ vote formalizes the translation of these initiatives into very concrete actions. At Education, the reform of the two academic cycles notably calls for a greater emphasis on social science methodologies, more research starting in the first cycle, and the shift of international mobility to the A3 level. The plan also establishes new ways for students to participate in university life, including the right to raise issues, referendums, and a student participatory budget.

The ecological transformation is accompanied by specific targets: a 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 2023, and a 40% reduction in energy consumption compared to 2019. Specific commitments have now been made regarding transportation, procurement, buildings, biodiversity, and workplace quality.

The project also commits the institution to making changes in its day-to-day operations: modernizing HR and financial management, improving working and learning conditions, data-driven management, developing lifelong “ Education ,” the Policy Lab, and partnerships, social outreach, internationalization, and promoting research. The framework has now been approved. Some initiatives are already underway or have been completed; the others will be rolled out gradually through 2030.
