Double degree course in Territorial Governance at the Faculty of Law and Sciences Po Grenoble - UGA
The Territorial Governance master's program is a double degree offered by the Faculty of Law and Sciences Po Grenoble, created in 2020. It enables students to obtain a double degree based on the Master's degree in Local and Regional Authority Law from the Faculty of Law and the Local and Regional Authority Management stream of the Sciences Po Grenoble degree. It offers selected students dual skills in law, management and local authority management.
Description
This demanding Education is based on a close alliance between the reinforcement of theoretical knowledge and the acquisition of operational skills.
This master's program focuses on practical work situations. It also places great emphasis on collective reflection and debate, whether through working groups, participation in the Faculty of Law's territorial legal clinic, or the public action laboratory at Sciences Po Grenoble.
The number and duration of internships will enable students to benefit from nearly a year's initial professional experience at the end of the integrated Education program. Writing a dissertation, in the form of academic research or a case study, will provide students with the opportunity to develop the synthesis, reflection and argumentation skills that are essential for their future profession.

Organization of the double diploma
The first year of the Education program takes place at both institutions simultaneously. Students follow a core curriculum at one institution and core courses at the other. An internship of between 2 and 6 months is compulsory at the end of the academic year.
The second year of the Education program alternates between the two institutions. Students follow the full curriculum of both programs. A second internship of 3 to 6 months is compulsory. A thesis is written in the form of a university research paper or case study, and defended in December.
Education is built around blocks of skills that students need to acquire for their professional integration. Internships are compulsory in the 4th and 5th years. A local government law clinic and a public action laboratory enable students to respond to legal problems on the basis of real cases.
La Education has a network of professionals and privileged links with local players. They benefit from the network of the Sciences Po Grenoble Alumni Association. Students can join the Association Dauphinoise du Droit Public, an association that brings together professionals, students and academics.
